Developmental Evaluation to Determine Eligibility for Part C

Purpose/Goals:

  • Identify processes and procedures for referrals of children with suspected delay and diagnosed physical/mental conditions
  • Describe quality practices in evaluation and assessment.
  • Explain which personnel are qualified to conduct developmental evaluations
  • Discuss barriers for meeting timelines for eligibility determination
Who should attend?
Service Coordinators and any service provider who conducts developmental evaluations to determine eligibility for Part C services.

Continuing Education
  • Successful completion of the workshop includes attendance at the entire event and completion of the training evaluation.
  • Akron Children's Hospital (OH-234 080107) is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission of Accreditation. OBN-001-91 (Contact Hours: 5.5)
  • Social Work Hours: 5.5 and MRDD's Early Intervention or Case Management: 6 credits.

This workshop is sponsored through funding provided by the Bureau of Early Intervention Services (BEIS) of the Ohio Department of Health and is presented by the Family Child Learning Center.
