What are the Statewide Help Me Grow Workshops?

The Statewide Help Me Grow workshops serve to assist the Bureau of Early Intervention Services (BEIS) in the training and personnel development of provider's working in the Help Me Grow System. The Family Child Learning Center is the coordinating agency for three of the Statewide Help Me Grow workshops.

Help Me Grow workshops are designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of professionals serving children who have or are at risk of developmental delays or disabilities, their families, and the general public. Training is also open to families receiving services in Ohio's Birth to Three system.

The workshops reflect family-centered practices and are conducted by parent-provider teams. Activities conducted to measure the effectiveness of the workshops demonstrate that the training sessions broaden the knowledge base of participants, are relevant to their occupations, and lead to significant changes through the implementation of best practices.
